Cala Sisine, together with the famous beaches of Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritzè, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Orosei. It is located a little to the south of Cala Luna, in one of the most famous and enchanting stretches of coastline on the island, so much so that it has been recognised by Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club as the most beautiful ever.
The beach of Cala Sisine is characterised by a white pebble shore that enhances the transparency of the colours of the seabed. Near the beach, towards the south, you will also find grottos surrounded by turquoise water that you will fall in love with.
The beach can be reached either by sea from the port of Cala Gonone or on foot along a very easy path.
Departing from Baunei (about an hour and a half’s drive from Cala Gonone) you will reach the small country church of San Pietro in Golgo, from here begins the dirt track along the Codula di Sisine, we advise you to do this with a suitable car, if you prefer to be accompanied by a car we will be happy to recommend the best guides on the spot who will accompany you by off-road vehicle.
Walk along the wild gully and let yourself be enchanted by the natural landscape that surrounds you, continue until you reach a clearing where you can leave your car and continue on foot.
The walk will be about two kilometres along the river bed, an easy path that will take you to the beach in about 30 minutes. We recommend that you undertake it with suitable shoes despite its simplicity and equip yourself with plenty of water.
The beach is characterised by large white pebbles that enhance the transparent colours of the seabed. The coast is immediately high and to walk easily on the shoreline it is advisable to equip yourself with rock shoes. In the immediate vicinity of the beach, continuing southwards, you will find a few small caves: a stretch characterised by impressive sheer walls with small caves carved into the cliff surrounded by centuries-old junipers.
